[A series of statistical charts illustrating the condition of the descendants of former African slaves now in residence in the United States of America] Proportion of freemen and slaves among American Negroes.

In 1900 W.E.B. Du Bois and his team used visualisations for the Exposition Universelle, in Paris,to highlight why the African diaspora was being held back.
